Before we begin...
Beginning coaching, especially outdoors can bring practical questions, and sometimes quieter uncertainties too.
Below are some of the things people often ask. If you don’t see your question here, you’re always welcome to ask.

Practical matters
A quieter question
Coaching with me is a collaborative, reflective conversation.
You bring whatever feels important, that night be - a decision, a sense of overwhelm, a transition, a question that won’t quite settle.
I listen carefully. I ask thoughtful, sometimes gently challenging questions. We notice patterns, assumptions, and what might be sitting just beneath the surface.
You are not fixed, advised, or told what to do.
You think. You decide. You move forward in a way that feels aligned and considered for you.
There’s no fixed formula.
Some people come for a short series of 3-6 sessions to work through something specific. Others value a longer-term thinking partnership.
We review regularly so that the work remains useful, purposeful and right for you.
Nothing is set in stone, and we can re-contract as we go.
Many clients prefer to meet fortnightly, others monthly to keep some continuity and accountability, depending on how many sessions are booked. This can be changed to meet your needs.
A regular day and time can work well to allow time and space for action and reflection between sessions.
Extra sessions, or follow-ups can also be booked in if required.
Some clients may have an initial block-booking and then come back at a later date to check-in, or if they have further challenges, or opportunities that they’d like to discuss in a coaching conversation.
We can do whatever works best for you.
Yes. Confidentiality is central to coaching.
Everything discussed during sessions remains private, with the exception of rare legal obligations (for example, if there is serious risk of harm).
Personal data is stored securely and handled in accordance with UK data protection law (General Data Protection Regulations).
No.
Coaching is future-focused and designed for people who are functioning well but want space to think clearly, make decisions, or move forward with greater confidence and alignment.
It is not therapy, counselling, or treatment for mental health conditions.
If at any point therapeutic support would be more appropriate, I will gently say so and signpost to support where this is helpful.
Emotions are natural human responses and are welcome.
Many of the people I work with are used to being capable, responsible, and the steady one for everyone else.
Coaching offers space where you don’t have to hold it all together.
Coaching can raise topics that might be uncomfortable. We can discuss how these can be handled most comfortably for you.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing is judged. We move at your pace.
You don’t need to be a ‘forest' or 'outdoor' person to benefit from coaching with me.
Some sessions are seated outdoors. Some involve gentle walking. Some take place entirely online or by phone – whichever best serves or feels right you.
The setting is always agreed in advance together. The thinking space matters more than the landscape, and my coaching style will be the same whether indoors or outside.
